The name Gogo carries a personal meaning.
The founder’s mother was named after her grandmother, Fatoumata, and was affectionately called Gogo. In Fulani, Gogo is associated with “Mother.”
The name was chosen in her memory, as a tribute to her strength, care, and sense of community. Those values inspire Gogo today: connecting people, supporting local businesses, and helping communities grow together.

With more than 15 years of experience in network engineering, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise technology, Abdou founded Gogo to use technology as a bridge between local buyers, sellers, and delivery partners — helping communities grow through simpler, more connected local commerce.
